Ebunola Aniyikaiye is a trusted legal advisor to healthcare and technology organizations, known for translating complex regulatory frameworks into practical strategies that advance innovation, strengthen compliance, and drive business performance. She brings experience across national law-firm practice, American Medical Association, and in-house roles at both venture-backed and non-venture-backed startups, including serving as General Counsel of an AI-enabled oncology data analytics company. Ms. Aniyikaiye counsels health technology companies, providers, life sciences organizations, and high-growth startups on complex regulatory, data, reimbursement, and operational matters. AI & Data Governance

  • Develops and implements AI governance frameworks addressing liability, model oversight, ethical considerations, transparency, and operational risk.

  • Leads data-governance initiatives, including de-identification methodologies and enterprise data-stewardship programs.

  • Advises on data monetization strategies, including structuring de-identified and limited-data–set offerings, and negotiates complex data-licensing and research agreements with biopharmaceutical partners.

  • Advises on regulatory considerations for AI/ML-enabled tools, clinical decision support and algorithmic accountability.

Digital Health & Emerging Technologies

  • Advises digital health innovators, technology companies, provider groups, and payors on regulatory strategy, product development, and compliance.

  • Negotiates complex technology, SAAS, and strategic collaboration agreements for national healthcare organizations.

  • Provides counsel on health IT matters governed by ONC, CMS, FDA, and FTC such as interoperability and data exchange.

  • Supports deployment and scalability of virtual care, telehealth, and data-driven solutions.

Healthcare Regulatory & Compliance

  • Advises and oversees enterprise compliance programs covering HIPAA, the Sunshine Act, Stark Law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, FDA and FTC advertising requirements.

  • Advises on Medicare, Medicaid, and Medicare Advantage regulatory obligations, including value-based care arrangements and alternative payment models.

  • Guides clients on health equity, telehealth policy, and multi-state regulatory compliance.

  • Conducts state market-entry analyses for new clinical, operational, and digital health business models.

Transactions & Commercial Strategy

  • Structures and negotiates multi-million-dollar data-licensing, strategic-partnership, and technology agreements with biopharma companies, research organizations, and health-tech companies.

  • Manages complex commercial contracting with payors, providers, data vendors, and technology partners.

  • Advises executive leadership and boards on corporate governance, enterprise risk, and operational scaling strategies.

  • Supports product strategy and commercialization efforts for AI-driven and digital health solutions.

Policy & Government Affairs

  • Contributes to coalition advocacy efforts, drafts policy comment letters, and engages directly with Congress, CMS, HHS, ONC, and other policymakers on key health policy matters.

  • Advises clients on regulatory developments affecting reimbursement (Medicare and Medicare), interoperability, and privacy.

  • Leads policy and regulatory strategy for high-growth companies entering new markets or developing emerging care models.

Professional Leadership

  • Adjunct Professor - Ms. Aniyikaiye teaches graduate-level courses on healthcare fraud, abuse, and compliance American University Washington College of Law.

  • National Speaker & Thought Leadership - Ms. Aniyikaiye is a frequent presenter on health policy, digital health, and data at national conferences hosted by the American Telemedicine Association, American Health Law Association, and American Bar Association (ABA) and serves on the ABA Health Law Section’s internal AI Task Force.
